Welcome to January. The rush for holiday card photos has given way to a slower pace and a chance to document what's happening in your life right now.
Let's see month by month where we can take pictures in January and February in San Francisco, Marin, and the Bay Area.

January.
1. I think most of my favorite sunsets in Marin have happened in January. They are not warm, so put your sweater on and be ready to enjoy the beauty of nature.
2. Rains during the holiday break brought the green grass early. Which makes for a great backdrop.
3. Put your rainboots and lets j’s jump in the puddles!
February.
1. Mimosa is blooming. I love those yellow trees; they bring the greatest memories from my childhood.
2. Almond fields. A bit of a drive, but make it a day outing for the entire family!
3. All the points from January
Also, some universal places which are good for any season:
1. San Francisco and San Rafael Civic centers. Great architecture!
2. Your own house! Yes, it has all your story in it (and here's my blog about it!)
3. Variety of beaches we have in the Bay Area. If it's not raining, sand never gets muddy. My blogpost about our favorite beaches!
Happy to figure out the best option for you and your folks, whether in San Francisco or beyond!
p.s. Some links are for older blog posts; I had a bit different editing style, but the same love for the art I do!
p.p.s. Have you seen the end-of-the-year post?
Let me know what resonates with you!
