Mammoth Lakes
That place somehow has a special spot in our hearts. We keep going there whenever we can during warmer seasons (Memorial Day - end of September)
Here's my list of favorite spots and comments based on our family experiences!
We drove from Yosemite, so on the first day, we just took it easy and relaxed.
Day 2 - exploring
Crowley Lake Stone Columns
Read the description on the maps! Please:) We read and thought the pretty high 4WD would be enough! It was enough to get to the parking. But not towards the off-road, we just couldn't make it up the hill.
That leaves an hour hike to the place. Well, by the time we reached out, younger kids were complaining. We had water and snacks.
The drop to the columns is steep. I kind of regret not going closer for an extra 5-10 minutes, but with 2 kids melting down, I chose a safer option. It's worth it, of course.
Thank you to a nice lady, Megan, for dropping the girls and me back to our car in her 4x4. The guys walked. Fun fact, we waited for them for only 10-15 minutes.
Brees Lookout
I personally recommend it as a sunset spot. But we were already in the area after the hike, so we decided to drop by.

Mammoth Creek Park
The playground was fun and free, and the community center had a roller skating rink for $5 per kid.
I do think that they have to check the Google Maps listing, because of the hours and services mentioned. The staff inside was super nice and helpful.
Sunset:
Twin Falls Overlook
Pretty easy walk from the parking to the spot.
Day 3.
Hiltop Hot Springs
Go early! We went around 8 am, and we were the only ones in the hot spring.
Public pool:
Whitmore Pool
Clean and fun pool with a gorgeous view! Has a baby pool also!
Afternoon/sunset hike:

Day 4.
Board games at the house.
Whitmore pool (see above). Utkarsh went to check the Convict Lake and found it very crowded for the day, so come early if you'd like to have a good spot:)

Day 5.
Horshoe Lake -> hike to McLeod Lake (around 30 minutes)

Somehow, we always went to the northern side of Mono Lake, but this time I decided to change the routine. And it was so good! Easy and beautiful trail. We got lucky with a stargazing lecture on that day, too!
Day 6 - drive home.
